How to use
Our Gentle Brother Jesus Speaks®Cards

FORMULATE A QUESTION
1. Take a deep gentle breath, exhale slowly, releasing tension and relax more completely.

2. Think of a question about something important in your life. Be as clear as possible. Write it down. You may want to keep a special journal just for this purpose.
Example question: What is my next step regarding this specific issue?

3. While focusing on your question choose a card at random, asking Jesus for His guidance.

BE OPEN TO RECEIVE
4. Write the Biblical quote (the words that Jesus spoke) in your journal.

5. Record your feelings, thoughts and insights about what His words bring to you.

6. If you feel that you need clarity then read the message on the card you have drawn; then pray and reflect on it. Write down any further thoughts or ideas that come to mind, as these may be inspirations from the Holy Spirit.

7. Take time to be grateful for what you have received.

FURTHER SUGGESTIONS
1. Gift the cards to others, either individually or as a whole package, to bring comfort, peace, guidance and direction.

2. For an inspirational word or message to write on a birthday, sympathy, get well or other greeting card, choose an Our Gentle Brother Jesus Speaks® card and use the message on it.

3. As a daily spiritual discipline, choose a card every morning and contemplate the message. Watch how the message guides you throughout the day. You may prefer to do this on a weekly basis or join This Gentle Wave.

4. Carry the picture of Jesus in your pocket or purse and talk to Him daily. He is your very best friend and loves you unconditionally. Imagine what He might say to you as the day unfolds.

5. Choose a card with your question being, “What would you have me do today?” Then carry out the message.

6. Use the cards to start or end a meeting with youth groups, therapy groups, choirs, classrooms, prayer circles, workshops, or in counseling sessions. The Our Gentle Brother Jesus Speaks® cards may also be used as a focus in groups.

7. Be creative and have fun with the Our Gentle Brother Jesus Speaks® cards.
